The Williams Family Demonstration Area at the Homestead

Friday During the Day at the Heritage Homestead

Friday the events start at the Heritage Homestead, one block South of the Courthouse on Franklin Street, at around 9:00 a.m. The Blacksmith Shop will have the forges up an running all day and the Pioneer Cabin will hold a Laura Ingals Wilder Exhibit with occasional live music on the porch. Around the Cabin will be various demonstrations of old time crafts and logging industries conducted by the Forest Service and the Williams Family. Displays of Soap Making, traditional jon boats, quilting, and textile work will continue throughout the day. A few wandering minstrels will favour the crowd with their picking. Items of the various crafts will be on sale and food vendors should be available on site. School Groups will be coming through the Homestead to view the Plunk School House displays and hear from the blacksmiths and other craftsmen about what life was like before the modern age. The Homestead events wind down by 5:00 p.m. and the action is transferred to Heritage Park downtown for Music in the Park and the Classic Car calvacade. The Homestead is the Pickup Point for the All Day Mule Wagon Rides.

Classic Cars and Music in the Park Will Be Held on Friday Nite

Friday Night 5:00-Close at Heritage Park, Downtown Doniphan

The Classic Cars are back again this year around Heritage Park Friday evening serenaded by Music in the Park which will run till at least the dark thins the crowd.

Food Vendors will be available to make a picnic supper a pleasant option as the cars roar in and park for the admiration of the crowd.

Saturday, at the Courthouse, Heritage Homestead and Community Center

The day begins at the Community Center with the Pancake Breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Arts Guild Show and Award Presentations.

Meanwhile at the Heritage Homestead all of the Friday Activities will continue starting at 9:00 a.m. and wind down around 5:00 p.m. when the Music Starts at the Courthouse.

Pickin on the Square will be held Saturday Evening with various Music Groups and performers. Food Vendors should be available to make an evening picnic to close out the festivities around dark.
